June, July and August are winter months is South Africa. Both May and September can be cold as well. Typically, you can expect light frost in the mornings warming up to the mid 60’s during mid- day. At our Stormberg area we do receive snow during this time so it is important to come prepared. This is our dry season and although we do not expect any rain there may be light showers later in August.
Your Professional Bird Guide will have a first aid kit, while medical services are available in nearby South African towns and cities. Please always consult your doctor before traveling to Africa.
