MalaMala Game Reserve is the Safari Industry’s blueprint of the luxury photographic safari. In existence since 1927, this massive thriving tract of land produces the most exciting wildlife experience this side of the equator. MalaMala Game Reserve is the largest private Big Five game reserve in South Africa. Comprising of 13 300ha, MalaMala shares a 19km (12 mile) unfenced border with the world-renowned Kruger National Park and lies sandwiched between the National Park and the Sabi Sand Reserve.
Tinga Private Game Lodge is situated on the banks of the Sabie River, in the prime game-viewing area of the Kruger National Park. The Sabie River has the highest recorded density of leopards in Africa, and one of the highest predator densities. The Sabie River is also said to have the richest biodiversity of any South African river, with many endangered and rare species (mammals, birds, reptiles and plants) being found in the area. Tinga has an exclusive 5000ha concession within this area, where guests can view the wildlife on safaris or bush walks, whilst accompanied by SANParks-accredited guides. Tinga vehicles also have access to the entire Kruger road network, thus allowing guests to view the areas of historical significance and aesthetic beauty that the southern Kruger has to offer.
