Doves are shot around the waterholes in the Kalahari and start at first light in the morning. Often flying steadily up until the Sand Grouse start at around 9am. The jerking flight of the Cape Turtle Dove makes it a most worthy target..


Guineafowl are presented to the guns in European style driven hunt. This is highly challenging shooting and the chants and songs of the Zulu beaters add to the exciting atmosphere of the shoot.


Francolin and Spurfowl are well suited to crop farming and are found in Coveys and small groups around the grain lands. Francolin are shot over English Pointers on the edges of the grain fields.


The Spurwing Goose, the world's largest Goose is shot along with the Egyptian Goose out of blinds over a spread of silhouette decoys. The Spurwing ganders average around 18 pounds and are a true trophy.
